Student Deadline: February 26, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Faculty Deadline: February 29, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. The Fralin SURF program is a 10-week training program designed to give motivated Virginia Tech undergraduates the opportunity to engage in full-time (~40 hrs/week) research in the life sciences and related professional development activities that mirror graduate training.

The goal of the program is to enable students to extend their current research projects and experience a step further with independent funding, so that they can devote additional time to their project, under the supervision of their chosen mentor.
