The primary mission of the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) is to help undergraduate students find research opportunities. We have multiple avenues to help students find such opportunities through our OUR Database, ambassador office hours, as well as strategic partnerships with the Research Institutes and research faculty here at Virginia Tech.

OUR Partner Research Institute: Fralin Life Science
The Fralin Life Sciences Institute is an investment institute committed to supporting research, education, and outreach in Virginia Tech’s life sciences community. Affiliated faculty members are given resources necessary to explore new, innovative science that benefits people in the New River Valley, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the world. The institute is a generous supporter of Undergraduate Research, sponsoring two undergraduate research fellowships that are open to any discipline at Virginia Tech.
