National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR)
NCUR
April 13-15, 2025, Richmond, Virginia
The National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) promotes undergraduate research, scholarship and creative activity through an annual conference for undergraduate students. NCUR is unique because it offers students from all disciplines and institutions of higher education the chance to showcase their work on a national stage.
The Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) will award partial funding to accepted students (one per research presentation), this may include registration, transportation via VT van or mileage reimbursement, and/or accommodation.
In order to receive any funding from the OUR to pay the students registration fee, students must list VT Office of Undergraduate Research (email: Keri Swaby, kswaby@vt.edu) as their institutional representation on their NCUR application form and must also inform the OUR when they submit their application, providing the presenter’s name, major, presentation title, and abstract. Students who list OUR representation on their application will be contacted upon selection to present. More information will follow via email.
Once accepted, OUR will pay the registration fee before the conference. However, the students are responsible for the expenses of accommodations (OUR will reimburse) and food (OUR will not reimburse). Travel will be provided by OUR with a Fleet Vehicle, for a limited number of seats.
NOTE: VT will only support one student per presentation. The students also must provide an itemized receipts (listing all charges, including taxes) in the student’s name to complete reimbursement.
