Each year, Virginia Tech selects up to 5 outstanding undergraduate researchers through a formal application process (accompanied by a faculty/staff member) to present their research at the annual ACC Meeting of the Minds along with peers from the other 18 ACC – member institutions. It is truly an honor to be selected to participate in this conference. All expenses are paid by the ACCAC. Only individual presentations can be considered for this conference; no group or team projects are eligible.

Typically:

  • The research is original, student directed, under the advisement of a faculty member.
  • Abstracts of each research project are gathered in a conference brochure.
  • Students may choose to present their work as an oral talk or poster.
